I still had quite a few, so earlier this week I decided to make a peach pie.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"middle\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.ernstrom.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/09.25_pie.png\" \/><br \/>\nIt turned out great, so I thought I&#8217;d share the recipe. Both recipes came from searches on <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.cooks.com\/\">cooks.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left: 40px\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Never Fail Pie Crust<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left: 40px\">1 c. shortening<br \/>\n2 c. flour<br \/>\n1 t. salt<br \/>\n1 T. vinegar<br \/>\n1\/3 c. milk<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left: 40px\">Cut shortening into flour and salt. Add vinegar to milk. Combine at once with flour mixture.<br \/>\nMakes pastry for 2 crust pie.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left: 40px\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Fresh Peach Pie<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left: 40px\">1 egg<br \/>\n2 T. flour<br \/>\n3\/4 c. sugar<br \/>\n1\/2 c. melted butter<br \/>\n4-6 fresh peaches peeled and quartered<br \/>\nPie shell<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left: 40px\">Combine egg, flour, sugar, and butter. Fill pie shell with fresh peaches, cut sides up.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left: 40px\">Pour mixture over peaches.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left: 40px\">Bake pie in 400 degree oven for 15 minutes.<br \/>\nReduce heat to 300 degrees and cook for an additional 50 minutes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left: 40px\">Allow pie to cool at bit before serving.<\/p>\n<p>There you have it!
