Little Spencer David Ernstrom was born tonight!
We came to the hospital around 4:30 this afternoon, and Spencer was delivered via c-section at 6:47 pm. He weighed 6 lbs. 12 oz. and was 19.5″ long.
Being nearly 3 weeks early he is having a bit of trouble keeping his breathing steady so he’ll be in the NICU overnight. We are hopeful that he’ll be able to move up to the regular nursery by morning though. Otherwise everything looks good!
We are excited to have him as part of our family and can’t wait to take him home in a few days! I apologize for the lack of pictures, I’m writing this from my iPod at the hospital and don’t have the means of uploading pictures at this time. We’ll share some soon though!

Visiting hours are from 12-2:00 and 6-8:00… so assuming he’s out of NICU, anytime. Or we’ll be home in a few days.
Congratulations! I am glad everything is going well. I hope he is out of the NICU in no time and you can enjoy your new little guy. I am sure he is just adorable. Congrats again. I can’t wait to see him.

Wahoo! I’m so glad he’s here. He shares the same birthday as my Miranda. What a sweet baby. I’m jealous, nothing in the world beats holding your own newborn. Please give us details when you’re up to it!

Well, I was hoping he’d come on December 15th – I’m a little partial because that’s my birthday 😉 Really, though – He’s adorable, Congratulations!! I hope you have an easy recovery and that he gets to come home with you soon!
