I finally got Spencer’s blessing portraits finished, and thought I’d share. He was very cooperative (unlike his sister was 3 years ago). He even flashed a smile for one of them. I still haven’t gotten my studio back together yet, so I just used a bean bag chair as a backdrop/baby poser… it worked well enough.

Bridget was pretty interested in helping me, so I let her hold his feet for a couple of shots. Never mind that she was freshly washed and all ready for bed.

He doesn’t smile much yet, so this was pretty exciting.

This is more consistent with the look he usually has. Still adorable, if you ask me.

And this is a compare/contrast with Bridget’s blessing picture. What do you think? Pretty similar?

The helpful big sister…

Incidentally, Spencer had his 2-month appointment with the doctor on Friday. He’s growing well… already 11 lbs. 5 oz. (41%) and 23.5″ (73%). We figure he’ll be a pretty big boy. He does need to work on his babbling/cooing, smiles, and head control – he’s a little slow in all of those areas. Being three weeks early though, apparently he’s granted a bit of a buffer. So we’ll kick his butt in gear and get him working on it! …then we’ll start on the ABC’s.. 🙂
